Whatever controversy may surround this horse and the various riders who’ve trained him, you’ve got to admit: that is one fine specimen of a pony.

Portuguese rider and his lusitano stallion, working equitation competition in Tarbes, France.
Unfortunately I can’t recall his name because portuguese names are hard to remember.

It’s interesting that he’s got square stirrups, instead of the ones you usually see around here

I don’t need his name. Address will suffice.

Beezie Madden was the lone ranger in the victory lap after the show jumping medals were presented at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Her mount, Cortes C, was the only well-behaved horse one the U.S. team in the ceremony, so McLain Ward, Lucy Davis and Kent Farrington stayed on the ground with coach Robert Ridland.Photo © Nancy Jaffer

This annoys me so fucking much. Your horse can jump 6 feet, whoopee, but you can do anything else with it. It bothers me even more when it’s a horse competing on an international level. THIS IS NOT OK. If your horse can’t handle basic things like walking calmly beside you, standing still while mounting, etc I honestly don’t give a shit how high it can jump. Take it back to square one and teach it how to fucking behave. Bless Beezie.

I love you

I now feel completely emotionally validated by the equestrian side of Tumblr.
